Introducing Colin Chapel, a general store/café that’s recently opened its doors in Windsor. They do say the New Year brings new ventures, and this latest addition to the café scene on Chapel Street is rather unique. Inside is much like a up market milk bar, where you can buy your morning paper, groceries, and even a take away salad and gourmet pie.
There’s a take away coffee window, and an outside seating booth for those who prefer to sit and sip.
I had a good chat with Mark, the man behind the custom Elektra, who I must say, has a remarkable moustache. I’d go as far as to say it’s a work of art. While his moustache is not what I came here for, his “Stache House Blend” espresso was. Roasted by Roastcraft in Geelong, my long black was comparable to an authentic Italian espresso. Much like the sort of coffee you would expect to be served when in Rome- Bold, and packed with a punch. If that doesn’t wake you up, then you shouldn’t be walking the streets of Windsor.
