Larsen and Co. is Hampton’s newest café with a Scandinavian influence. Larsen being the owner’s maiden name, is a reflection of her Scandinavian Ancestry. The décor has a Scandinavian accent, with little wood tables and chairs, lots of white tones, and handcrafted details in the tear drop wall features. The space was previously a Nepalese restaurant, and had a dark glum interior, so the fresh lick of paint and large bare bulbs have given it a new lease on life.
The Scandinavian influence filters through to the menu, which features Benedict on English muffin with pulled pork & apple hollandaise, Banana pikelets with passionfruit curd and mascarpone, and Fried calamari with baby fennel, orange, and soft feta. They also have a selection of Smorresbrods, with toppings such as rare roast beef, braised cabbage, remoulade, and horseradish.
Coffee is from Cisco, and their house blend is a dark roast with big body, and dark chocolate on the finish. For those who require alcoholic beverages, there’s Tuborg lager, Dirty Granny Apple Cider, and a selection of sparkling, and red wines.
