If you’re anything like me, you’re probably wondering who Juno and May are. Well, here’s a story for you. The owner of this Camberwell café grew up on a farm in the 1970s, and the family never had a TV. His brother calculated that if they milked dairy cows before and after school, they could save enough money in milk to buy a TV. The plan was a success, and those much loved cows where names Juno and May.
Just as his diligence and perseverance paid off decades early, it seems to be just as rewarding today at this well designed Bourke Road venue.
Breakfast ranges from Bacon and Egg English Muffins, through to “The Gaucho- slow cooked beans with roasted capsicum, tomato, grilled chorizo, and poached eggs on sourdough. Lunch options include The Billy Nash grilled chicken burger, Fusilli with farmed rabbit, and white truffle oil, and Char grilled lamb with Smokey yoghurt.
Coffee is from Axil, and their Seasonal blend was clean, well structured, and had notes of praline.
Oh and if you’re wondering…. That clever brother is now an accountant.
