Dear Abbey

The team that brought us Little Sister and Hey Jude, have converted a historic church building into a modern café. Much like the former church, Dear Abbey has charm and great atmosphere, split into a front dining section that’s encases in glass; an open terrace, and arched corridors.

Coffee is extracted via a custom Nuova Simonelli Black Eagle, which matches the wallpaper along the corridor walls. My long black had a heavy body, with dark roast nuances.

The well designed menu is thorough, and offers both all day breakfast options, and lunch. A sample includes Ricotta Hot Cakes with poached pears; Truffle Scrambled eggs; Tri-coloured quinoa omelette with Persian feta; Soft Shell Crab Burger; and Portuguese marinated spitchcock chicken salad.
