Cabin is Hampton’s freshest cafe, tucked away behind busy Hampton street. Much like a log cabin, this petite sized cafe serves as a cosy timber clad shelter, with a warm ambiance, and lots of organic features. It’s the sister café to Otto Epicurean in Sandringham, and focuses on breakfast, lunch, and specialty coffee.
Their beans are custom roasted for them, and extracted via a Kees van der Westen spirit. My long black had a rich body, with dark chocolate nuances.
Breakfast options include Dr Marty’s crumpets topped with lemon zest ricotta; Homemade baked beans on Hogan’s toast; and Salmon Stack layered with dill sour cream, and served on a potato rosti. The lunch menu features Cauliflower & Chickpea salad with black rice and beetroot puree; Tuna & quinoa patties; Slow cooked beef pie; and pulled lamb baguette with sundried tomatoes, tzantziki, and feta.
