Remember Soldier on café on High Street Prahran? Well they’ve had a makeover, and are now known as EZY PZY. That’s the way they like to keep things here, easy peasy for the customers to grab a coffee, and have a healthy feed with nutritionally certified ready to go eats. It was such a pleasure to see Alexander Holt behind the espresso machine this morning. I first met him at Whyte café in Glenhuntly around 5 years ago. The pair behind Ezy PZY, Alex and Dylan, actually met through the artful dodger crew, and back in 2014 took a leap of faith, and opened Soldier On to showcase their coffee knowhow.
Fast forward to 2016, and EZY PZY continue to use the Soldier On coffee brand through their Synesso, but have brightened up the place, and brought in some hanging plants and pastel tones to give it a fresh touch.
I sat by the front window sipping on their seasonal blend made up of Guatemalan and Honduras beans, resulting in a complex cup with cherry ripe like flavours. I also enjoyed a gluten free and vegan Ace Cookie, which are silky smooth in the centre, and considering they are made from wholefood, they are absolutely ace!
