Little Bean Blue Eastland

If you know of Little Bean Blue in Little Collins Street, then you’ll be thrilled to hear they have opened a sister café out in Ringwood’s Eastland. This outer eastern suburb shopping center has had a $665 million redevelopment, which has seen it metamorphose into a vibrant shopping and entertainment destination. What’s more, they’ve brought specialty coffee along for the journey. Apart from the stunning architecture, and innovative design of this fresh urban space, the striking La Marzocco Linea PB on the main counter is what caught my attention. With its royal blue and gold accent, Little Bean Blue Eastland exudes a touch of class. Much like its sister café in the CBD, pastries and sweets are available; as well as premade wraps and baguettes filled with gourmet fillings.

Coffee is roasted by Cartel, and in true Cartel form, they had a natural Ethiopian in the grinder for espresso drinkers like myself. The Wenago stems from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, and was grown at around 2000 meters above sea level. Being naturally processed, it was much like a fruit punch, with a juicy body, and notes of ripe melon and strawberries. Exceptionally extracted by Rikki, this coffee made the 45 minute trek out here worth every second.
