It wouldn’t be a trip to Sydney without visiting Mecca’s Roastery. Its situated in a large industrial style warehouse, adorned with wrought iron features, geometric floor tiles, and ceiling fans that I was most grateful for on this sultry Spring day. There’s an open cafe area with mezzanine, a cupping room, and roastery out back. They have espresso, filter brew, and nitro brew on tap.
It was my lucky day… Coffee of the day was Ethiopian. The Ethiopian Beriti is a micro-region of Yirgacheffe, which sits at 2000 to 2350 meters above sea level. This washed lot had tea like nuances, with citrus acidity, and that floral fragrance I love in coffees Yirgacheffe
