Rise and shine…its Deri Kocha time!

In view of the hot weather, I had my long black over ice this morning, and boy was it a great choice. Being a washed Ethiopian from the Sidamo region, it was a lively offering.

The Deri Kocha was processed at ‘Godima Logita’, a wet mill that caters for over 500 smallholder farmers, who all hand-pick their coffee. Its pulped, and then goes through the classic drying method common to Ethiopia, whereby beans are laid out on raised beds.

As a long black over ice, its both clean and sweet, with citrus acidity, and hints of ripe apricot.
