This cosy spot on High Street opened its doors back in 2014. It’s part of the collection of cafes owned by hospitality guru, Phil Gijsbers. You may know his other popular spots: Hard Pressed, Saint James, Pedro, Yorkshire Brewhouse, and Seven Point Espresso in New York.
Most of his other cafes have updated their machine to the Slayer Steam, but From on High has preserved its ever reliable La Marzocco GB5. It delivers a great espresso using Maker Fine Coffee. Single Origin of the day was the Finca San Rafael from El Salvador. Being a natural red bourbon varietal, this coffee exhibits big red berry tones, with chocolate on the finish.
