Welcome to Brunswick, home.one.
This not for profit café is the creation of ‘Crepes for Change’, which is part of the social enterprise, Nightingale Housing. Essentially, profit accrued from the café goes into addressing food security, homelessness, and sustainability.
The building home.one is located in, is focused on green living with minimal expenses, and has a green star rating of 8.5. This makes home.one one of the most sustainable cafes in Melbourne. They even have their own worm farm that digests their natural organics. A prime example of walking the walk, and not just talking the talk. Coffee is sources from local roaster Wood and Co, and Roland served me a delicious espresso made from their Kenyan Karumandi. True to form, this Kenyan made for a juicy cup, with blackberry and blackcurrant notes.
You’ll find home.one at 6 Florence Street, Brunswick.
