Collective Espresso

You know what they say… “individual actions collectively make a difference”.

The shared efforts of the team at this Camberwell spot, makes a vast contribution to the café culture in the area. Headed by Hakan Bilal of Undercover Roasters, Collective Espresso has a real community vibe, which is pertinent for a café with such a name. Whilst the café is limited in space, it does have an extended communal table, open kitchen and full coffee bar.

I find the front window a cosy spot to perch myself, and watch as commuters race to and from Camberwell station across the road. It truly is a collective effort here, with milk based coffee made using Undercover Roasters blend, while black coffee is made using single origin beans from Maker Fine Coffee.

Apart from the coffee and food, the “meet me here” tiles at the front entrance seem to be a popular attraction at this leafy eastern suburb hotspot.
